Planets in Combust

Created during the 2020 COVID-19 quarantine, the recent mono-prints are variations on celestial images of planets and stars in - or out - of alignment. They are a reflection to some extent of what seems to be my reality where everything is in flux and change. The prints are energetic portraits which reflect the emotions of these times arising from the ecological and social issues with our planet. One is required to wake up and look up and behold the celestial bodies in the night sky. I attempt to create images which are both familiar and unknown. All prints are hand printed without a press, with water-based oil inks, iridescent and transference acrylics in gold, bronze, silver and graphite.
